Before the grand photography exhibition at Moderna Museet in the fall of 2005 Marge was asked to present a design for the exhibit. The ambition was to create an architecture that in its methodical organization and simplicity readily supports the exhibit pieces, emphasizing their interrelationships as well as the visitor’s relation to the exhibition. The photographs were mounted on long floating screens discreetly anchored on thin poles. The long screens are a result of the exhibition’s thematic intention while the rooms they form between direct sightlines toward the exhibit’s key pieces. In reference to the 1960s the screens are painted in pale pastels that stand in contrast to the often dark black-and-white photography and subtly differentiate the panels by artist.
