A city project and development on two lots in central Södertälje
Rådhusplatsen is a square that lies in central Södertälj between the Town Hall, the canal and a green churchyard. This proposal seeks to strengthen the contact between the city and the water. The square itself continues from the canal and on this new stretch is placed a building comprised of three timber volumes tied together by a common ground floor, staircase, and courtyard. The building volumes vary organically in shape, size, and cladding in order to better integrate with the backdrop of courtyard trees and gardens.
