Villa in Gustavsberg outside Stockholm

This villa was began as a guest house for a family but was later built to become a permanent residence. The result is an elongated building that reinforces the orientation of the terrain both on the outside and the inside. The placement of the house aligned with the mountain allows the space to open onto the garden and leaves the surrounding nature untouched. Outward views toward the mountain affirm the notion of being immersed in nature.
The house is 5m wide, 30m long, with 120m2 of living space, not including the cellar, laundry, and carport.
